TrustCrypto Certified Crypto Advisor (TCCA)
The TCCA track is designed for investment advisers, wealth managers and consultants. Candidates are assessed against published standards covering crypto fundamentals, UK regulatory obligations, HMRC guidance, portfolio allocation, and risk‑adjusted exit strategies. Successful candidates receive a digital certificate, a digital badge, a certificate ID for public verification, and 30 CPD hours awarded on successful assessment.
Standards-based examination
TCCA is issued after a standards-based assessment and verification checks. The assessment is designed to test practical advisory competence, not memorisation.
- 50 multiple-choice questions
- 1 scenario response (~300–400 words)
- 105 minutes total examination time
- Scenario weighting: 15% of total marks
- Online delivery with identity verification
Pass is awarded at 70% or higher.
30 CPD hours awarded • Certificate issued • Public verification via Institute registry
The examination assesses applied competence within the scope defined by the official syllabus.

Assessment is governed by Institute examination rules.

Preparation & Study
The Institute does not mandate or provide preparatory training. Candidates are responsible for independent preparation using the official syllabus, standards framework, and recommended external materials.
The TCCA syllabus defines the authoritative scope of the examination. Candidates are assessed only against the domains, weightings, and learning outcomes set out in this document.
